Hello beauties!! I hope you all are alive and kicking:). This time I've come up with an eminent and irreplaceable part of our wardrobe, the 'Accessories'. The lines mentioned above give a clue, it has got to do something with shine, gold and glitter..I am thrilled to put some light on the most important adornment of a woman i;e. Jewellery! When you are dressed to kill, wearing a wrong earring/neck piece/ bracelet would be nothing more than a colossal blunder. Today I'm going to talk about a very contemporary, wearable and affordable jewellery line "AAINA".

I happened to get the privilege to get in touch with the owners in my last visit to Taj Vivanta where they were showcasing their eye-catching jewellery in an exhibition. It caught my eye as the pieces were beautifully curated for modern day women and can be worn in day to day life and for wedding / pre-wedding functions. So, I very much wanted to cover and talk about this new-fangled line through my blog. Their collection is all about silver and silver with gold plated jewellery with the meticulous use of semi-precious stones. The pieces are simply exquisite and have a perfect blend of ultra- modern as well as royal look. The dainty designing of most of the pieces was discerning from renowned leading brands out there.

I'm a big silver jewellery fan and madly in love with those big chunky pieces around my neck and dangling in my ears :) The whole collection is tastefully done with a keen eye on what is in the vogue of a modern day woman. They have divided the designs into various categories, like a collection of contemporary silver jewellery is named 'Dhaatu'. similarly, they have 'Mogra' (traditional silver jewellery), 'Banjaran' (silver tribal jewellery) and 'Singing Stones'(collection of coloured stone jewellery).

They showcased beautiful bracelets in silver and silver with gold plated stuff engraved with semi-precious stones like rubies, emerald, onyx etc., meticulously and scrupulously handcrafted for every occasion.

I was highly obliged to try a few pieces so that I could showcase and get a feel of it to write about it on my blog. It was an impeccable experience to get myself clicked in those flawless pieces, especially that blue 'Matha Patti' (which would make you feel like a princess).

What I loved the most was their tribal silver collection, which was worth every penny. A pair of big silver 'jhumkas' exuding elegance and beauty from every angle was absolutely striking and definitely a winner when you want to get a perfect ethnic look. You can go completely ethnic with these pieces or can pair them with an indo-western fusion. It is a must in your trinket, trust me gals!

That precisely polished blue jumkas with meenakari work is a perfect piece when you want to make a statement. Ethereal silver statement neck piece would be a perfect choice if you are going to wear salwar kameez, or palazzo pants or a handloom sari. This recherche' designed piece will take your whole look/ensemble to a different level.

Beautiful grand rings and bracelets would be perfect if you are going to a party/cocktail or your pre-wedding functions.

Feeling yellow in blue..

Hello folks! Hope to find you fit as a fiddle and busy with your daily routine. I’m sure you all might have enjoyed a good relaxing weekend. For me it wasn’t as it wasn’t ‘long’ and secondly I’m still at home resting on the couch, as the viruses have evolved a lot and now they have purely different mechanisms to hit humans.  In short, I was attacked by them this weekend so it wasn’t fun like paint ball but yeah,  I did manage to get a few offs from the office. 

This 'blogging' has been an eventful journey for me, 3 weeks back I finally took the plunge and decided to create a platform for sharing ideas, thus putting my love for writing to good effect. So here I'm to talk about fashion and lifestyle. 

September is a weird month to tell about the weather in India, in Northern India at least. Days are sultry and evenings are pleasant. So if you are going out with your friends in the evening, you would be pretty confused as to what should be worn. Day before yesterday I went out with a friend and wore a beautiful flare dress with floral print. And for the evening, with sun’s presence, it seemed a perfect combination for that day and my mood (as mostly I dress according to my mood). It could be a perfect ensemble for a day wear with friends, family or a fun picnic. You can wear such dresses when you are going out of town and they can be a saviour when you are baffled between a night gown and a cute dress. Not so dressy, yet it looks super chic and definitely not high maintenance. And if teamed up with sneakers, it gives a whole new young vibe to your personality. 

Keeping this weather in mind I chose blue colour with floral prints. I happen to buy this dress from UCB and it was a part of an unplanned shopping trip (as is usually the case :D). I often see people running away from floral and colourful prints. Please gals don’t be afraid of them and say "yes to floral prints". I’m being a true-penny to advise you to wear such a dress on light evenings when you don’t want to get very dressy and don't wish to take out your stilettos.

Let me give you an inkling about how to dress in a cool and young way, let me sing the paean of this amazing attire. When you are going out with friends or a coffee date don't stultify yourself by wearing a wrong choice. So don’t be a stuffed shirt and be ready to take a plunge in the new world of experiment and new colours. Trust me you will cut a fine figure if you wear clothes as per the occasion and time. So think out of the box and if you wouldn’t look dressed to nines then I would happily eat my own hat.

So I managed to get some pictures clicked by a dear friend, as my permanent photographer isn’t  available (my hubby’s a sailor and he’s commissioned on Inter-Malaysian trade currently :P).

I have teamed up this cute dress from United Colors of Benetton with a pair of Old Navy sneakers, a white sling Coach bag and glares from Guess. You can wear this dress with ballerinas (orange/red) or white flats.  You can keep it simple by wearing small quirky studs. I wore pearl silver earrings from Fabindia and teamed it up with a gold bracelet by Mia (a very stylish, unique and wearable jewellery range launched by Tanishq).

So gals, go out on coffee dates or a fun evening with friends and wear this super girly and cute attire and ahheemm don't forget to wear your smile. :)
